the most famous gay club in town, Propaganda elicits mixed reports, ranging from those who have a cult-like devotion for the club to those who think it’s well past its prime. The crowd can be slightly mixed but is generally gay only, with both locals and expats keeping it crowded well into the wee hours, despite the large space. The house music is played at rib cage rattling levels, although those looking to talk can retire to the conversation room.
Run by the same folks as the much bigger and louder Propaganda, Works is a slightly more intimate affair with a dedicated cast of regulars. That said, don’t expect to come here for quiet night out, the DJ and the crowd are both loud.
